A biomedical scientist and research strategist with extensive experience in infectious diseases, diagnostics innovation, and global health. She currently serves as a Project Coordinator and Qualitative Research Scientist for the Sickle Cell Alliance’s London-based Hydroxycarbamide Study, supporting project delivery and patient‑centred research. She also works at Imperial College London as an Intellectual Property Strategy Officer, overseeing research security compliance and commercialization pathways, and at King’s College London as a Study Coordinator for NIHR‑funded clinical trials in mental health. Dr. Kibirige holds a PhD in Molecular Microbiology & Immunology from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and has contributed to translational HIV‑1 research and diagnostics development for over 20 years.
